My sister got into k-dramas during the pandemic and I watched Hometown Cha-cha-cha with her. She’s in S. Korea right now with 2 friends who also love k-dramas. From the photos, they are mostly eating a lot of great food, and seeing various sites in Seoul.
LOL! The K-dramas are basically 16 episode Hallmark movies and I'm not mad :)
Oooh! That trip sounds cool! I think there should be a K-drama tour of Korea that people can take. But I love the smaller towns, the countryside looks lovely, lots of forests and nice coastal areas. I really wish I could food like a normal person, the food does look good in the shows!
The food looks AMAZING in Korea! I’ll have to ask her how it is compared to the Korean food here. LA has a big Koreatown, and near me are lots of Korean restaurants and two H-Marts with food courts. I’m a fan of Galbi and fried chicken wings.
The girl in Hometown Cha Cha Cha was a bit annoying, I thought. The seaside town looked cool.
Some K-Dramas are a lot less Hallmark. Watched a sad creepy one about a serial killer, and one about the occupation by Japan, and the Hotel one that was fantasy.
So far I've just been watching the romances! Though there is at least one court drama and a couple supernatural dramas on my list. Sometimes the shows do take a wide swing! There was a big death fake-out in one that made me mad.
I discovered all my food allergies too late to try Korean food and I'm not happy!
