Harry Houdini, the highlight of my TTRPGs and vocal star cockatoo is settling in well with his new family! He’s eating lots of veg and they are getting him off the seed diet! And managing to set boundaries! So hooray for Harry! I thought my next foster bird was going to be an African Grey, but the rescue wants to send to a foster with more Grey experience, so I am going to be taking in two cockatiels! My reliable old stomping grounds! LOL! Of course I’d never stomp on a bird! I just mean that I have fostered LOTS of ‘tiels and they can be super sweet little birds who are loads of fun! Of course they can also be assholes. The two tiels come together and they are named Banana and Noodle. I hope they are good tiels!
Anyway- there has been chaos here as there has been a medical emergency in the family. And my trip to visit my cousin is cancelled because I need to be here. It’s looking good though- the medical stuff. So it should be fine, but it’s very anxiety inducing. I am going to keep my game schedule the same as if I were going on the trip though, just so I don’t have to try to run a game while life is swerving all over like crazy. It has been NOT a great year.
Lastly I took some doll photos! Yay! Mostly I am trying to keep myself from stress-buying a doll. I want a new doll to just come in the mail and be new and give me something to look forward too since I don’t have anything else in my life to look forward too. Except hopefully no one dies. I have redressed and taken new photos of several dolls and I’m dressing up more of them, shaking up their usual looks a bit. I ordered clothes from a few places this year and I want to try then out!

Second is my Nefer Kane (Circus Kane) Moon, who I just left named Moon.
YoSD clothes are way to big on her and she and Bloon are on the same body. Blythe tops would probably work better. But I haven’t bought any. And the problem with Blythe tops is the BJD hands don’t make it through narrow wrist openings. So it’s a matter of finding the right top….
Anyway, I’m trying to slog ever, ever on with the R&R and a short story I’m writing for the Advanced Short Story Workshop. But work is grindingly slow.
