It has been a pretty crappy week. My dad went to the hospital on Tuesday. He’s fine, but still there. The doctors are getting to the bottom of it. But it sure put a crimp in the writing. I finally worked today but I have to say that’s one of the reasons this newsletter is late.
So I HAVE been working on a Pokemon painting for the Rainforest Writing Retreat. Normally each of the three sessions has a raffle at the end of the session. But this year it was all online and people donated raffle items. So I donated a piece of Pokemon art, a sort of partial commission. One Pokemon trainer with one easy to draw Pokemon, artist’s choice of medium and size. So anyway I am working on a 9x12 Pokemon trainer with a Sneasel and it’s almost done. When I don’t have the brain power to write I can usually art. So that’s the most progress I’ve made.
I did update my Ko-fi with an older piece. So please go look at it! I have pimped it on Twitter but no one really ever looks at my work. AND because you are my special subscribers here’s an in-progress shot of the Pokemon piece. I’ll be adding snow to the trees with acrylic paint. This has turned into quite the multi-media piece with watercolor, ink, color pencil and then the acrylics which I’ll get to to finish it off.
And lastly- also in the name of you all are my special friends and followed me from Facebook- here is the last piece I finished- another drawing of Floyd Duffy my Vampire the Masquerade character.
I hope they figure out what's up with your father, and there's a good resolution!
Did enough folks follow from Facebook? Nice art and I'm sorry to hear about your father. I hope they figure out whatever it is. It's a tough time to be in the hospital with covid restrictions. Family can't even visit (if one is close enough to even be there).
