The Infinite Sadness of Making Bad Art

Well, it’s a new week and I’ve been thinking “I need to make some more money, maybe I could make art?” HA! I have GOT to get that shit out of my head! Patreon and Youtube are for people who are good at art. I also hate that nowadays you can’t just make art, you have to make vidoes and content and this digital age is garbage and I hate it. I used to want to be a painter, then it was comic books, Now I just make art because I can’t NOT draw, but sometimes that old fantasy creeps back in. Selling prints, and paintings, and stickers and merch.

And you know what I STILL haven’t done or even started or really even brainstormed? That Lenormand Deck I was shooting for! I wanted to try to submit it to the two tarot publishers I know of. Mostly I keep forgetting about it. But I think I also subconciously talked myself out of it. Plus I got distracted with markers.

Well, enough complains! Here are the photos of the 3D art at the tiny show.

Needle felted bird on a log. It could maybe be a little tighter? But hey, I don’t know how to needle felt! So kudos to you person who made this.

I’m pretty sure it’s suposed to be a mpouse in a peanut shell. The mouse part id obvious, the peanut was in the title.

Another very neat diorama. There are three little stones in there, but the lighting isn’t great.

Not one but TWO tiny art museums.

This one was fantastic- for sale, but very expensive. It wasn’t insanley overpriced, just not in my budget. The details are better IRL.

And as promised! Another marker! I think I’ll take a break from them for a bit. I’m trying to practice drawing doggos and it’s tough. But I think I need to do something else for a bit.

Not great. The inking is messed up and the background got away form me. I also hate Uniball Signo white pens. They work only half the time! And I NEVERA LEARN MY LESSON! Just suck it up, and get the Pro-White out! OR, and I keep forgetting I own one- the Uni Posca acrylic marker! Weirdly the Sakura Gel white pen is WAY more reliable that Uniball, but it’s not as opaque. Oh, and I used the Uniball metallic gold pen (which is WAY more reliable than white) for some of the stars and accents. It doesn’t scan though.

On another note- EVERYTHING SMELLS LIKE SKUNK! They have been going off on a regualr basis and it’s not great. I have the number for three animal removal sirvices. But I am out of small critter repellant and I’m not convinced they AREN’T under the house somehow.
