As I’ve been looking at how-tos on Youtube and Pinterest I keep getting recommended videos for making an aesthetic sketchbook and like, WHO is that for? A sketchbook isn’t a work of art! It’s where you practice shit. It’s not supposed to be aesthetic. This entire notion is SO internet age, the fact that we’re supposed to have pretty to look at aesthetic sketchbooks to show the internet. It’s absurd on it’s face. It exists only to show subscribers and then people think that’s what a sketchbook is supposed to be so they strive to make aesthetically pleasing sketchbooks and the cycle continues like a snake eating it’s own tail. Maybe I’m just old. I scan in a few sketches for you here and there, but they aren’t aesthetically designed or anything. It’s just whatever I felt like coloring.
All right- enough “Old man yells at cloud.” My KaniBoom doll finally arrived!! I ordered her LAST YEAR. She is a KaniBoom Muppet head on a Guard Love anime body. The body has been at Jane’s Dolland for a while now. I’ve been waiting on the head. I also purchased face-up from Jane’s and I’m glad I did!! Look at this cutie!!! Her name is Velveteen. She arrived in the little undies set and I have to say, Guard Love makes a quality body! So 100% DO recommend!
I can’t wait to dress her up! Sadly not all my doll clothes are unpacked yet and I haven’t organized them either so she may be nekkid for a while.
AND here are my finished paintings for the tiny art show!
I can’t quite get good photographs of them. I also put them up for sale so I might make some money! Zap was the first piece and I painted over my initial design because it was garbage and the pieces didn’t gel until I drew the second one.
That doll will definitely not murder you in your sleep.
The paintings are adorable!
Super-cool KaniBoom doll. 😃
Love the tiny art pieces.
