Short, Not Sweet

I finally got the greeting card sets up on Ko-fi !! Click the link and you’ll go right to them. I have 5 right now. I’m keeping a few in reserve in case the local art supply store will carry them. I was going to include a hand drawn thank you card with them but I realized how long it takes to do that! I would like to get some thank you single sheet cards printed.

No headway has been made on digital art. Last week was pretty concerning… Not much headway has been made on my latest acrylic painting either. I’m pondering if I want the dark storm clouds in the sweater to bleed into the blue sky cat.

I have been wanting to get back to some watercolor but haven’t managed my time well. Plus other concerns. I am looking into other products I can put art on, but I’m not sure I have enough of a niche to make it pay. Nor is my work unique enough to stand out. I mean, the only thing that makes it unique is how amateurish it is. I can’t get anything symmetrical to save my life. I find tons of mistakes after I’ve inked it. In addition.

Something may have to give in order for me to carve out more time for art. Part of that may be leaving the birds out alone. And another part may be quitting at least one game. BUT if I quit a game I SHOULD use that time to start a third game. I feel kind of stuck right now.

I do still have a backlog of art for you! Marker art! I have lost track of which ones I have posted but I am positive I have NOT posted this one.

I don’t hate this one. It came out OK. I’m pretty sure I got the outfit inspo from Pinterest. It was a cute pic if I recall.

Due to a kind gift I was able to treat myself to this entire blind box set- Monday Bruce Season 1. This rabbit LOOKS LIKE I FEEL I cannot emphasize enough how much this set speaks to my soul. I don’t know what style of art I should pursue. I’m all over the map right now. I want to make some anime styled paintings of characters as well as more cats, and get better at folk art styled work AND get back to watercolor and practice gouache more. I managed to get in a tiny bit of gouache and paint a doodle I drew a week or so ago. So it’s something? But there is so much more I want to try that I can’t find the time. Maybe things will get better someday and I can hardly type that with a straight face! LOL! WTF?

In things I like: Tubi has one of my favorite Joan Crawford B-movies, Straight-Jacket! It’s a damn clever thriller and Joan Crawford acts the HELL out of it.
