Pay Me To Shut Up!
I have art for you, my faithfuls! A watercolor I started, a month ago or so, but only finished last week. It’s part of a series of drawings/paintings for an idea for an idea for a book that I have. Whether it turns into an actual idea or not remains a mystery.
I can’t paint- or at least am too lazy to paint- photorealistic reflections in glass. It’s A LOT of work. So I know this isn’t the best executed, but it’s more just for me to get the idea down.
In bird news- our dearly beloved Harry Houdini is leaving for his new home tomorrow! Friday his family comes to pick him up!! After the last Goffin adoption on my watch went sideways- this one BETTER TAKE! Harry is the best boy! He deserves an awesome home with people who appreciate wrangling a tiny 2-yr-old who can chew through solid wood! LOL! Harry has been a hoot and a half! He is everything people think they are looking for in a bird and he’s been both challenging and delightful.
And in writing news: I finally finished that FINAL new chapter for the R&R! It’s going to be the new chapter 14. I am still editing the book at large of course, but this is an important final step. I checked my 5 yr journal and the R&R request came in October 2019 so it’s been almost TWO YEARS! Arg! It wasn’t supposed to be this long! I hope the agent doesn’t hold it against me! My hope is to submit it before the 2 year anniversary.
