OK! I promised you I would share things I like and not whine so much this week. But first things first! THIS painting is up for sale!
It is listed on my Ko-fi and in fact I have 4 pieces available, two very old Pokemon watercolors no one bought and now 2 acrylic paintings for no one to buy as well! SHOP ← Click this to them all!
Now for some things I like! I have been watching a ridiculous amount of Tubi lately and they have some good stuff! I was really jazzed to discover that they have Dragon Booster! An early CGI network cartoon that was pretty damn cool. The channel is aired on kept changing it so I never did get to see the 3rd season. But now I can! I’ve also discovered the incredible talent of Justin Benson andAaron Moorhead. I started with The Endless then watched Spring. I may end up watching all their stuff. It’s really good. They are slow-burn, but they give the characters a chance to breathe. The dialogue is excellent and the plots are weird but not to the point where they become some high-minded metaphor that is too smart for the average person. They always give enough of an explanation that it all makes sense. There is a real foreboding as well and they have a knack for color and uncanniness.
Tubi also has a goodly amount of Mystery Science Theater 3000, Rifftraxx and Cinematic Titanic if you are looking for something funny. It also has the Pokemon Black&White seasons.
One of my players is sending me an old tablet and I may be able to have a go with digital art again. But we’ll see! It’s always a steep-ish learning curve. I feel like everyone wants digital art commissions and MAYBE I could offer some character art? Since it’s easy to trace and retrace sketches on new layers? I have never tried drawing ON a tablet before though. I had to quit back in the days when my Wacom Bamboo tablet was working! (Actually I’m pretty sure it still does but it was scaled and shaped for a square monitor screen, not the new ones). But maybe eventually!
Cat painting is adorable. I also love your Pokémon art up on Kofi. Good luck with the tablet and doing some digital art.
"Rooms to let, 50 cents..." I love that song!
