OMG! I LOVE the SoHo Kraft sketchbook! It’s so cute! I love that it lays flat (lies flat?) Whatever. It’s great! I will say that the Pigma pen I used to color in the black lifted off when I erased the pencil. So that’s something to keep in mind. The Pigma Micron seemed to hold up pretty well. I’ll try out the Pilot Pocket Brush Pen on it as well.
This is the first page of the first Kraft sketchbook! I like it! I like the paper and I like my drawing! The paper is neat though. I also want to try using white color pencil to pick out highlights. A lot of materials I don’t even use anymore would probably be really cool on this paper, like conte crayon. (there should be an accent on that ‘e’ in conte).
Space the Nation did an episode on David Lynch’s Dune which they did NOT like! I cringe listened to the whole thing- I do like the weirdness of that film! And there are so many quotes from it that I still use to this day. I feel a bit defensive of my love of Lynch’s Dune. I know it was a bomb, but I love it anyway! Even with all it’s terribleness. Anyway, here’s the link so you can listen Space The Nation. They do have a lot of good points, but Lynch’s Dune is something you have to sink into and just go with. If you don’t like pointless weirdness or pointless grossness, it’s not for you. I have also been told repeatedly to read the first Dune novel and I never have. But SO many people have said I need to read it. That probably means I won’t… LOL!
Anyway! How are you all doing? Well I hope! I’m still at home 90% of the time, but have gone on errands and the post office, and grocery stores, but I still haven’t done anything fun. Not even thrift shopping.
In game news I am going to be wrapping up Chicago by Night in the next month. I may or may not run a second season but I need a few months off. It’s been going well, and the players show up, but a few people dropped out, not because I’m a bad GM, but for life reasons. I also need to keep the plot moving in the Oregon game but I am winging that game so much! I apologize every session. But the players keep coming back!
