So everything is going to shit. House showings are destroying my game schedule. I had to hit pause on Kinds on Brooms for the summer. AND a player had to be booted from my pad Vampire the Masquerade game. And that all happened over the weekend! Friday, Saturday and Sunday!
Managed to finish a tiny watercolor. I want more watercolor paper but with the income dip I’m taking I can’t get more. I have a one doll and one doll head on layaway and I spent WAY too much on two decks of cards. I finally bought a Lenormand, and then I splurged on an oracle deck because it’s all beautiful paintings of women with birds and animals. But mostly birds!
A permanent eraser smudge ended up on the paper in the moon, and I was going to paint it over with gouache but I couldn’t find my gouache so I went over it with colored pencil. A week later I found my gouache… This is the little piece I did to play with the Holbein watercolors I bought. They are beautiful! I used a couple Turner colors as well, mostly the light blue. I like this piece. It came out decently.
I honestly have almost NO ideas for art anymore! It’s frustrating because I want to paint but I have no idea what. I can try to copy some shit from Pinterest- people post Tik Tok tutorials there.
Last week I was on Pinterest (yes I am on it too much!) and ended up looking at some Middle Grade book covers, and all the books look so interesting and I don’t think my books were interesting enough and I don’t know how to get there. And I may never. I don’t know yet. There’s so much I wanted to do! I had hoped to succeed at so many things, painting, comics, writing, and failed on every front.
Anyway, I am nursing a hurt bird! Something happened to Noodle’s foot- looks like it was bitten or perhaps got stuck in something but it has scabbed up and she is eating and drinking. BUT all my plans to get her to stay close to the bottom of the cage where she can get around better have only half worked. I can’t find my pliers, which I need to loosen some of the wingnuts form a couple stubborn high-up perches. The rest of the perches I lowered but they are still hanging around the top of the cage! Just let me help you Noodle!!!
