Help a Birdie Out

I have been sick since last week so I haven’t done anything. I had to cancel games and its taken a long time to be upright all day. I have achieved only that much. It’s been a horrific sinus issue. Maybe covid? I don’t know. I can’t taste or smell. This happened to me once before years and years ago when a I had a sinus infection. Anyway, my pay this much is going to be very low. If I ever get well I need to get my shit together.

BUT I am not here on my behalf! You all know I foster birds for EBR and it is a joy! As a volunteer organization they rely on people and funds to help the birds! Some, like the poor girl below need urgent care!

“Princess, a 39 year-old Green-winged Macaw, was recently relinquished to the Exotic Bird Rescue of Oregon at the request of her owner. In our short time, we have already seen how she shares the funny and caring traits that many macaws display for their people.

Unfortunately, during her first hour in our care, her foster home noticed that Princess was lethargically laying around on her stomach and breathing heavily. Our volunteers sprang into action and took her to Dove Lewis Animal Hospital, where it was discovered that she has a very old egg stuck inside of her. Without emergency surgery, Princess will not survive.

The surgery will cost $3,000, and we need your help to pay for it. Please make a gift today to help Princess survive and find a new loving permanent home! Green-winged Macaws can live to be 80 years old or more; Princess has barely begun the second part of her life and has so much more love to give.”

I don’t have much to report. I am super tired. I have manga to read and review. The reading is going al right, but the reviewing is getting shunted until my brain comes back. I’m hoping it will be soon. I hope I can taste again too. I don’t like this. It sucks.
