It feels odd to have good news. Two of my pieces are in the “Home is Where the Heart Is” show!!!! I made it!! Am I a real person now?

The teapot and coffeepot cats are mine! You know that. You saw them posted. The teacup didn’t make it but that’s OK. I can post it in my Ko-fi shop. YOU my faithful few will probably get it for a much lower price. At least for now. Will I be become a gallery artist?? I don’t know! I’m aiming for a small local gallery artist. NYC and LA and even Portland, are for now, way outside my skill set. And they may always be outside my skill set. But maybe I can do things. I also finished a piece for the monthly Jerry’s Artarama art contest. The prize is giftcards to Jerry’s which I could 100% use. I don’t have high hopes, but it never hurts to try. I don’t know if likes will help me but… shrug. Link!!!

Lately I am on fire doing art! I am inspired and I am painting a lot. I am finishing up the Halloween ghost kitty set I didn’t finish last year (due to death in the family) and I have sketches for many more paintings. But I have two other larger acrylics to finish first. I have taken inventory of my painting surfaces and I have a good amount. I may need some more sandpaper since I have a number of unfinished birch panels and I bought clear gesso to try and take advantage of the wood grain.

Dolls: there is a Volks Yuu Morisawa on Den of Angels *sigh*. She has been a grail of mine since she was released from Volks. I even made computer wallpaper for myself out of the photos Volks had available. But it’s not to be… maybe one day. But not now. I am hoping to get a body for my Leeke World Florence. She’s one of the giant bobble heads and she’s been through two bodies already. BUT the Guard Love Bonnie body has no ankles and the big thick lower leg which I think #1- may let her stand and #2- will make her look like a Junko Mizuno drawing which is what I always wanted for her in the first place. Anyway, I’m just paying off my Aimerai Wicked (final payment!) and the credit card bill for Volks Diamond. BUT another nail in my coffin is that Volks is releasing Ranma 1/2 dolls and one of them is Shampoo!! Shampoo and Ryoga (the guy who tuened into a pig) were my favorite characters. It would be awesome to get Shampoo, but I think I’d rather have Yu Morisawa. Of course I’m getting neither! LOL! So it’s moot.

Sorry I have not taken any new photos lately! Anyway, The USA may be down graded from a democracy so there’s that.
