OK so I fixed(ish) my printer/scanner. I unistalled EVERYTHING then reinstalled it to run off USB. After 3 tries in Photoshop it FINALLY recognized the scanner! So I can scan again! I just have to have the printer plugged in with a USB link. To celebrate I have two uggo art pieces for you! I needed to make sure it would work consistently so I scanned in one thing, then unhooked the USB, plugged it back in, and scanned another thing. And it worked.
Uggo thing 1: My hideous map of the Eldafell Region. It’s a Pokémon region for my next Pokémon 5e game.
The entire thing is too big for the scanner bed. BUT anyway, this is the one I totally messed up! It’s a combo of color pencil and marker and I hate it. I am going to trace it (I found my tracing paper) and transfer it to watercolor paper. I’ll have to scan it in two halves then line it up but fingers crossed it won’t suck too bad…. I based Eldafell on Iceland/Greenland/Sweden/Norway in case you can’t tell from the fjords, glacier and active volcanoes. It should be a cool game eventually. I’m basing it a bit more on Legends Arceus where Pokemon and people have a more contentious relationship, pokeballs are brand new, and
The second scanner test is this unfinished Nosferatu. I have about three unfinished Nos in my sketchbooks. I draw them A LOT. They are one of my top three Vampire the Masquerade clans.
But since I can scan again it means I can scan in the next gym leader I have for Pokémon: Jazz Age! I’m glad I got it working again even if it’s through a cable and not Wi-Fi.
That is about the only thing going right though. Don’t ask. It’s all too stupid and boring to go into. Kids on Brooms returns this Saturday with only 2 players :( . I need to get another paid game up and running and it probably has to VtM but I really want to make sure the players aren’t psycho. I don’t want another “situation”. I want a smooth group that vibes together and can be trusted not to go off the rails or turn into “that guy”.
I love the map!!
