New year y’all. It is going to be terrible. Politically speaking anyway. With luck the new administration is too incompetent to do a damn thing.
However for now I shall tell you about my birthday; I went indoor skydiving! You just hover over a fan- but it’s super fun! The instructors help you hold a good form and I did a good job! I got complimented by the instructor. He said he could let go of me and let me just hover for a good chunk of time. AT LAST all that working out pays off! LOL! It’s expensive but it’s SO FUN! Look for a facility in your area and go do it.
My big present this year was an air fryer! Wheee! Fried potato foods stuffed with cheese here I come! There were lots of other lovely presents too! But that was the biggie.
The three tiny paintings for the tiny art show are going well. I should be done either this week or early next week. Which is well ahead of time. The reason I’m ahead is that I’m working in watercolor this year. It’s not my preferred medium for art shows which I use for acrylic practice. However I can’t get to my acrylics on the palette before they dry up because my schedule is split between Mattie and my studio. I am going to mount/glue them to illustration board to give them greater stiffness so they’ll display better. I have an old illustration board I painted on, then painted over and never used. I just have to cute out three 3”x3” squares and I’m good to go.
So with all this talk of the tiny art show I bet you want to see how it’s going.
How it started:
How it’s going:
And this piece has been put on hold until I finish the tiny art for the show.
There is way too much blue in this piece so the cat needs to be greyer. I’ll get to that later.
Anyway that’s about all I have right now. Not much is happening. I have to spend a bunch of money on bird food… so there’s that.
The tiny art looks great!
Crazy fires going on down here—my sister had to evacuate, but her house is okay so far.
