Well I am still working on my painting! It’s going well. No real update, I’m getting into finer details now, so the work has slowed down as I move into the fiddly areas.

Anyway (my favorite transitional phrase in the English language) I was thinking about Artist Collectives! Back when I was on FB (all of a year or so ago), I followed an artist collective. They mostly made and sold fantasy art and had prompts and things. And, again a few more years ago, I came across a tarot deck that was made by an artist collective and it looked really cool. It would be really neat to have an art community! I haven’t had that since art school? And even then it was just friends in the same major, and not even deep bestie friends… But it’s not like we did tons of art together or had time to organize projects. We had to do tons of homework. I have often fantasized about starting a writers/artists colony. I would buy a hotel/motel and artists and writers culd come and work on things, together or seperately. There was the MOST IDEAL house for sale in town a few years ago that woul dhave made the most perfect B&B! It’s very hard to find a community though. At least I’ve laways had a hard time with finding one.

But, pipe dreams aside, here is some art for you! The Wanderhome game I’m in is absent a bunch of people right now, so we decided to do Space Wanderhome, and then people can come and go and if they can’t make it for a week or two their character can just be chilling on our space ship. SO here is a Wanderhome character. No name yet. This is also a very old piece from 2015. But I liked the drawing a lot, so I dug out the sketchbook, traced it and colored it. Not 100% on how it came out. I used a combo of colored pencils and Faber Castel PITT pens. I also had to buy another Indigo Blue Prismacolor as the one I had is broken- the lead broke inside the pencil.

And this next peice is a little sketch from the Kraft sketchbook which was inspired by the painting I’m working on.

YES I screwed up my last name so I just crossed it off. Back when the new House of Represntatives members were being sworn in, a pic of Madison Cawthorn mispelling his own name went viral, and while YES he is the WORST, that is the one thing I can’t throw stones at. Nine out of ten times I flub my signature. Either putting to much, or two little thought into it, or rushing it and then skipping letters, OR just straight up panicing when I have to get it right. ANYWAY, I am very pleased with this little drawing! It came out pretty much how I wanted it to!

Lastly, in doll news- I am selling my Lillycat Eugenie!!!!! I never thought I’d sell any of my Lillycat dolls, but she is super old, and has the crazy knees, and I haven’t gotten her out for ages. Dunno if she’ll sell. My Immortality of Soul Mezz and Asyd original release heads are still here! Along with the one body I have for them. Right now I want more art suplies and how-to books and I want to pair down my doll collection.
