Demotivationally Yours

I really want to make demotivational art. I am very tired and unhappy with things and I just want to make mean memes. Pear cat says “Every Day Worse Than This.” It’s a cat for our times. I actually 3 or 4 more and posted them on Insta. I’m hoping to paint them and maybe make them into stickers eventually, if I can afford to make stickers.

The cards are working out. I’m not sure how to package them. I may need to buy clear bags? That’s how they cards are packed at the art supply store. Of course this assumes they ill sell the cards. They may not be good enough for the store. For orders via Ko-fi/through the mail I’ll just have to mail them in a stiff envelope. I may also have to charge $17.50 for the set of 5 cards. I CAN include a hand drawn thank you note though? Would anyone care? I can’t afford fancy packaging like other people. Not yet anyway. That will happen if things take off. I’m halfheartedly looking at giclee printers. I just honestly don’t know how good my scans are and I don’t have a good way to test them. I still can’t find my Photoshop 7 disc which hampers my ability to color correct the scans and even scanning itself.

I am the proud owner of a new used Wacom tablet! I don’t 100% know what to do with it. It’s not one of the ones with a screen, it’s closer to my old one but much newer and sized for modern monitors. I got it installed but that’s it. I make no promises on a slew of new digital art.

NEW ON MY KO-FI SHOP!! A printable To-Do List for you to download and print out!! You can print as many as you want or need! We’ll see how this goes. If it doesn’t sell, or if I get a windfall I may be able to have little to-do pads printed. I had to use Krita AND Paint.net to make this thing. OMG I miss my old Photoshop… I could DO THINGS on it! Anyway, the To-Do List is a JPEG so anyone should be able to download and print it. It’s not fancy but it came out all right.

Current painting is one I call “Grey Skies for Blue”

I taped off the edges so they would be cleaner than usual.

I’m not sure how I’ll actually paint the clouds and how or iff I’ll have the two skies bleed into each other, OR if the clouds will bleed into the sunset colors of the background! I am probably better off doing puffy cartoon clouds than trying to paint realistic clouds.

There is still a lot of art I haven’t posted here and I have lost track! I THINK I haven’t posted this one yet?

I messed up on the tights, the color got away from me. This is another piece where I am like “Where are my earth tones?”. The answer to that is, I don’t have them. I have a big set of pastels and then a set of too saturated colors. Also not sure I love the ooutfit but I draw too many pants and I thought I should draw a character in a skirt once in awhile. And NOT a gothiclolita skirt! A modern skirt. It’s an OK piece. The feet are off.
