Countdown to Enshitifcation

In light of another garbage “Bathroom Bill” which is designed to fuck over and further marginalize trans people which passed in Ohio and was signed into law by Ohio Governor here is a link to an article about critical mutual aid funds for trans gender individuals. Trans rights will be under even MORE attack in the coming years. Trans people are only the beginning though, the round-ups will begin in January…

Other than the news being abhorrent I don’t have a lot to add. I have a lot of half begun art pieces. But keeping Mattie company while the other 4 fosters are left alone has put a huge crimp in my productivity. The other birds are in my studio and I can’t really move back and forth freely because of the virus Mattie carries. So hardly get into my art studio at all. I have asked EBR if they can find new foster placements for Sam and Lyle, and Banana and Noodle. I will feel a lot better if I know they are 100% safe. I also desperately need to be back in my studio or I’m never going to finish the million catscapes I have started.

My latest overreach are two planned watercolor catscapes. I had to take absolute SHIT photos since the scanner is in- you guessed it, the studio…

The adjustments in Paint.NET sucketh ass. I am eventually going to have to fork over that $200 for a new Photoshop 7 disc off ebay. Anyway, you get the vague idea of them. One is 6x8 and one is 5x7, so they are both of a size that it would be easy to make prints of. I happened across what looks to be a decent print printer. But I have a lot of shit to get together before that can happen. Same with the fucking clay pins. I fucked up the template and need to do it again. I was trying to get it done on graph paper but that is ass. I was using my light table and the grid is two sided and the unaligned grid shows through. I should have used tracing paper but I legit forgot that I was going to use that in the first place. I haven’t done them over yet. But SOMEDAY I will accomplish the clay pins to my satisfaction.

All of my plans (and everyone else’s) rely on the continuance of civil society and not a civil war breaking out… I’m REALLY hoping democracy can hang on for 2 years and the Dems sweep the midterms.

But my good news of the week is that I sold two more paintings! If you have your eye on any of my work you light want to get while you can! LOL! Honestly it’s a very erratic and my work sells to the same 2-3 people who have become true collectors. Next I need to work on reach. I still haven’t got traction on Insta but I also haven’t asked the people who have purchased my work to post pics of it on their social media and maybe that would help??

What I’m watching: Polished off Jujustsu Kaisen on Netflix in less than a week and started in on MobPsycho 100 also on Netflix. I am watching absolute garbage on Tubi- I’ve been searching out older horror films and finally started Q: The Winged Serpent which has a ridiculously famous cast?? Michael Moriarty is in it anyhow. I forgot he was basically a 70’s/80’s scream queen! LOL! My favorite horror movie podcast is no longer on Pod Save America/Crooked Media but you can find Ruined over on Apple Podcasts. Their back catalogue is also worth a listen.

Well, I leave you with this: Keep planning your lives until the bombs start dropping?? I really hope I’m still around in April when my Volks FCS doll is supposed to arrive… I might be living in a refugee camp in a heavily defended Portland by then….
