Sorry this is late!! I lost track of this week!
I posted my last art fail on Ko-fi for everyone to see. If you missed it you can check out the Pokemon trainer I drew and then ruined. I ALSO managed to ruin a drawing of a Barbarian Totoro I made… I thought it’d be funny to draw a Totoro style barbarian with a big club to hit people with. I realize this is NOT a very Totoro thing to do (hit people). But I think it’s funny! I suppose if I were seriously considering what class would a Totoro type cat BE in D&D it would be druid? I don’t know much about D&D classes. Though the Humblewood game is going very well! We have NOT killed any more city officials. We ARE insane though….
And I’m STILL trying to fill one of my vampire games! I have pestered a few friends directly and no bites :( I’m also hoping the Sunday game goes well. EEK! I can’t afford to lose too many players, I only have 4…
Anyway, here is the Barbarian Totoro exclusively for YOU my dear subscribers. Someday I will find a game to play him in! I hope!
If you look closely at the arm holding the club you’ll notice a slight color difference. That’s because I inked a band around his arm and didn’t like it, so I covered it with two layers of watercolor ground. The first layer didn’t do a very good job, and the ground I have is lumpy. So I sanded the ground with an emery board (nail file) and put on a second layer. Then painted over it like normal. Lastly I redid the ink outline with my brush pen. I DO NOT like that how I inked the ears and I’m still mad about it but it wasn’t so bad that I was going to fix it too.
