I mean, it draws better than I do! OR maybe there will be a market for obviously mediocre art made by humans. Maybe this is my chance! Maybe people will want art that is SO mediocre it couldn’t have been made by an AI!! Same for books! Maybe we’ll all start reading awkwardly written books that aren’t so good because it will be obvious that a human being did a so-so job. Maybe this is the era of acceptable badness and I will finally sell art! Haha! Wouldn’t that be nice?
Pinterest has an interesting take on AI generated characters/art which is- since it was stolen from other artists and coughed out by a soulless machine, AI art belongs to everyone! SO steal freely, and use the characters generated as a basis for your own art. What I have seen that annoys me the most is people selling AI generated adoptable characters. Anyway apparently AI is going to rise up and kill us anyway and honestly it can’t do a better job at wrecking the planet than we can, sooo, fine? I mean there’s probably no stopping it. So I guess its “How I learned to Stop Worrying About AI, and Learned to Love the Bomb” (which is the extended title for Doctor Strangelove by Kubrick- and this is me overexplaining a pretty obvious film reference).
Pinterest always makes me wish I had majored in ANYTHING OTHER THAN SEQUENTIAL ART. Great BLOB what a fucking fool I was. All my missing oils is useless. As useless as the $400+ worth of marker and watercolor how-to books in my ebay cart right now. I keep flitting between art supplies, how-to books, and those dang dolls! Nothing doll-wise has happened.
I’m so sorry but all I have so far this week is this badly scanned in Pachirisu I drew for the Pokémon game I play in. I LOVE Pachirisu! How can you not love an adorable electric squirrel! The art came out so-so. It took me a long time to draw a Pachirisu I was satisfied with. I feel like I should have used something other than watercolor… But I was missing watercolor, and I didn’t want to mess up the lines with marker. It would have been more vibrant if I’d used markers. As usual there is a touch of color pencil as well but I’m not sure it helped… I’m still working on my multimedia skills.
I’m trying to get more art done. I have the panels for the the Tiny Art Show and I know how to use them! LOL! Every year I forget how small 3”x3” actually is. I even have a plan for the three little paintings I’m going to do It’s not genius, I just managed to come up with something cute. No spoilers, you’ll see the process shots.
I hate AI art.
Love your Pachirisu. The soft watercolors make me think it’s like a super-floofy squishmallow.
