A Very Merry UnChristmas to Me
And you! And you! And you!
OK- I don’t know HOW or where it came from but I found an UNOPENED BOX FROM RIGHT STUFF and I was like- WTF did I order and then forget about?!?!? I opened the box and discovered that in 2015 I ordered the entirety of one of my favorite anime Aria The Natural!!! It has been forwarded from CA, AND I NEVER OPENED IT!! WHAT?!?!?! Anyway, I guess I own this now! So Merry UnChristmas to me!
So it’s time again for the Square Foot art show at the art supply store! AND the art is due the 28th and I only bought my panel on the 21st! ACK! I have 7 days to finish an acrylic painting and I have NO time to think only paint! So this is it! It’s a wood sprite? I guess?? It’s something anyway….
The face got a bit wide on me so I had to paint over the cheek and narrow the face a bit and move the eye over. This is TWO days of work. I think I’ll get it done but its gonna be fucking tight and not as good as if I had a couple weeks to work on it. So I’m a little sad, but it may just be tired…
UPDATE: I hated the face and redid it and now I’m happy!
And if this isn’t enough art I have MORE!
I FINALLY busted out the Creative Mark Cezanne colored pencils (because I ordered a SECOND set of 120- yes I am a psycho stockpiler one emotional trauma shy of going full hoarder) and I am having a blast! I churned out like 4 little color pencil drawings! I will show you more of course! But later. I have to scan in more stuff.
I also splurged WAY too much this month- for starters over spending at the art supply store, and then I bought some tarot decks on sale AND of course, that book order and the art supplies! Yikes!! I know I should get a third game going but things are going to be in flux for a bit. I will tell you more later. It doesn’t help that I had to cancel Saturday’s Kids on Brooms game because of a medical emergency (not mine- but let me tell you, there is nothing like aging parents to scare the crap out of you.) So I was up at 4 am with terrible news then super anxious then couldn’t sleep well and then had to get up to get the birds sorted. So I was exhausted and couldn’t brain a lighthearted game of magical shenanigans. It all turned out fine so that’s a relief.
Anyway things are happening (!) and I will keep you updated.
