Do I have art? Yes. I have art. Lots of things from my sketchbook and some gouache exercises. Most of them aren’t that good. I am still shooting for and no doubt failing at, becoming a gallery artist. Because I am a fucking idjit who has never learned from my mistakes and failures and keep repeating the same fucking things over and over and expecting different results.
Will this wind up a painting? Probably not. No other art updates, no paintings or WIPs worked on or finished. No art supplies purchased because I spent SO MUCH MONEY on doll wigs!!! I’m trying to get a painting done for a theme gallery call “Home is Where the Heart Is”. It’s a benefit show for Habitat for Humanity. There is a submission fee though, and you can submit up to three works. I’m still kind of waffling on it. I’d like to have three pieces but I don’t know if I can get three paintings done in time. While Sam and Lyle, the two Quaker parrots that have been with me for 6+ years have gone to a new foster, the bird situation still isn’t fully sorted out yet so I still don’t have full time access to the studio.
Dolls: Well, the massive Leeke World wig sale proved to tempting. I have placed TWO wig orders! ALL THE WIGS! For ALL THE DOLLS! And I have SO MANY. Two dolls just sold but I have two incoming. No I know it’s not ideal! My ANS Narcissa hybrid is still for sale but no interest or takers. Plenty of looks on the Den of Angels marketplace.

What I’m watching: Tubi delivers again! Right now they have all 6 seasons of Corner Gas!!! It’s a Canadian comedy and it’s part of one of my favorite genres which is “eccentric small town comedies”. Just go watch it. It’s fucking amazing and nothing bad ever happens. It doesn’t punch down. The characters are hilarious.
